The whole universe is the manifestation of Allah. Wherever we look, the manifestations of Allah stand out before our eyes. We might wonder how a mountain can manifest His greatness. Does a flower petal reflect the beauty and gentleness of Allah? Why does one creature manifest just one of Allah’s names, and another one reflects more names?
In fact, Allah is manifest in the entire universe with all His names and attributes, but the capacity of each being is different. Each one reflects the names of Allah based on its capacity and capability. The limitation of each object or phenomenon makes it impossible for it to be the perfect manifestation of Allah, and we can only see the emanation of those names that it has manifested in the best manner possible.
Of all the creations, humans are the only ones which are like a mirror held up to the names of Allah, capable of reflecting His Names fully and comprehensively. The names of Allah become manifest in every human based on their effort and capacity, and the perfect human being is someone who fully manifests all Allah’s names and attributes.
