What Is the Relationship Between Preparation for Birth into the Hereafter and Human Assets and Negligence?

It does not matter if we are about to be born into the world or the hereafter, what matters is what we bring with us: an existence that is our only asset in the new environment and will ultimately determine how much we benefit from the new environment and how healthy we are at the time of birth. Therefore, just like getting ready for birth into this world, the first factor for preparation for birth into the hereafter is being healthy.

The topic of birth and our entry into the new world is one of the most important topics we face because it lays the foundation for all our future actions in the new environment. A lifetime of ease or difficulty, peace or torment, and happiness or sadness depends on how we step into the new world and what we bring with us. This is especially important because after leaving the womb-like environment, there will be no opportunity for compensation. After birth and transfer to the world outside the womb, we will be left with the efforts and assets that have either come to fruition and will be part of our tools in the new environment, or have remained incomplete and defective due to our own negligence.

The extent of the assets we acquire plays the most important role in preparation for birth into the hereafter. In this lesson, we are going to discuss how and when our deeds turn into assets, and how negligence in the mother’s womb or in the world will affect our assets and preparation for birth into the hereafter.

The Difference Between Deed and Asset or Tool

The important point is that our deeds in both this world and the hereafter will only be beneficial to us if they lead to tool-making. For example, no matter how hard a fetus tries to make his own heart or lungs in the mother’s womb, if he ultimately fails to make a fully-formed heart or lung, all his efforts will be in vain. Perhaps his efforts will eventually result in the formation of organs that have some resemblance to a heart or lung, but they will never have the desired functionality and cannot perform the duties of the heart and lungs in the body. In fact, the fetus must repeat and have persistence in his deeds until he ultimately makes tools that are suitable for and compatible with the living conditions of the world.

In the same way, we can also acquire the tools that we will need in the hereafter through repetition and perseverance of deeds that we do in this world. In this world, if we show kindness just twice, we will not become kind or be known as a kind person. Similarly, by giving away our extra belongings to the needy a few times, we are not called a generous person. We must repeat a deed so much that it becomes a name and attribute in us, and they result in preparation for birth into the hereafter.

The deeds we do in this world are not necessarily our assets for the hereafter. If we do not repeat them enough, they will not turn into our inner assets and will be just a good deed. However, for a healthy birth into the hereafter and enjoying its blessings, we need a tool that is compatible with the conditions of the hereafter and has become our asset.

We will have an eternal life in the hereafter, so we need tools that will be useful for us for eternity. Imagine a bird which needs a pair of wings to fly. Although providing a temporary means of flying is good, it is just a band-aid solution. The bird needs a tool called wings to actualize its potentials and benefit from the living conditions of the world. Similarly, our good deeds are not enough until they become our assets. If we have an eternity ahead of us, then we need preparation for birth into the hereafter or eternity.

Negligence in Preparation for Birth into the Hereafter

We stated that the process of becoming or organ formation for the world in the mother’s womb, and the process of tool-making in the womb of the world for the hereafter are continuous, constant, and uninterrupted. In fact, the fetus in the mother’s womb is constantly developing for a healthy birth into the world according to a predetermined plan. A momentary lapse in performing this action or neglecting the future goal leads to falling behind the schedule or even moving backwards and destroying what he has already built. Ultimately, any negligence will lead to the fetus being born unhealthy.

We are not inactive in the womb environment. We are constantly developing the organs we need to survive in the world we are about to be born into. We are either progressing or regressing. That is, whether we are aware of it or not, we are always changing and becoming as long as we are in the womb. It does not matter whether we want it or not, or we are aware or unware, the process of organ formation never stops. Every moment, we are either moving forward towards the goal of our creation, making tools, and progressing, or we are losing time, moving backwards, and destroying what we have achieved.

While the fetus’s movements are involuntary, our motion in the womb of the world is completely voluntary. Neglecting the purpose of our creation and human dimension, even for a moment, will allow the lower dimensions to take control of us and lead us astray from preparing for our eternal life. If this happens, we will make mistakes in our choices, relationships, and decisions. Consequently, we will miss the opportunity for preparation for birth into the hereafter and its living conditions. In other words, we waste our lives on things that have no effect on our life in the hereafter or result in our unhealthy birth into the hereafter. In this case, we will face an eternity of suffering and hardship.

In this article, we argued that acquiring assets is essential for being compatible with the living conditions of the hereafter. We also stated that preparation for birth into the hereafter is not solely dependent on doing deeds, but the type of deeds, how we do them, and consistency in doing righteous deeds are all important. We must repeat these deeds so consistently that they become our name and asset. In fact, preparation for birth into the hereafter depends on the number of tools we will take to the hereafter. A moment of negligence in tool-making in the womb of the world will lead to an eternal life with torment and difficulty.
