Human Qualities

What does our perfection lie in? Is it being well-mannered or speaking thoughtfully? Is it being noble with a strong moral character? Or is it possessing qualities rarely found in others? Perfection has different meanings in different fields of knowledge. For example, in psychology it means flawlessness where everything is exactly right.
However, here to state that something is perfect implies that it has reached its maximum potential. Perfection, in essence, requires the realization of all inherent qualities. Put simply, perfection is attained when something fully actualizes its potentials.
All beings have some inherent qualities or potentials which are actualized more or less, so they can achieve perfection to varying degrees. The human being, as the most complete creation, has all levels of perfections, from the lowest to the highest. However, his human or spiritual perfections are his highest levels of perfection.
When we are unfamiliar with definitions, we usually make mistakes. We consider the qualities of various aspects of our existence as our human (spiritual) qualities. We may become champions in a sports field or achieve high academic degrees but think that we have reached our goal in life. Or, for various reasons, we may be unable to become parents and think that we have not been successful as human beings. However, these matters relate to our vegetative or animal qualities and have nothing to do with our human qualities. To be truly human, we need to strengthen our human perfections and qualities.
