The first course of the Self-Knowledge School is like the first grade of elementary school, an opportunity to learn basic concepts. Learning the letters and symbols that will help us read and write in higher grades, symbols and letters whose importance we do not fully understand until we master reading.
Most of us have concepts in our minds regarding death, life, perfection, desire, and even humanity, and our worldview and beliefs are founded on these concepts. In the first course of the Self-Knowledge School, we redefine these familiar concepts to gain a renewed opportunity for reflection. Have we truly recorded these concepts with their true meanings in our minds and hearts, or are we only familiar with a corner of these truths?
If we challenge our beliefs and allow ourselves to see the familiar world around us anew, many wonders await us. Wonders that will transform our world into one full of activity, hope, and growth.
The Self-Knowledge School offers a space to explore the profound questions that underlie our anxieties, sorrows, and fears. These negative emotions stem from our fundamental lack of answers: we don't know ourselves, we don't know the world, and we haven't defined our relationship with it. This ignorance hinders our pursuit of love, peace, and lasting happiness.
