یَا مَنْ تُحَلُّ بِهِ عُقَدُ الْمَكَارِﮦِ
O He through whom all knots of hardship are untied!
وَیَا مَنْ یُفْثَأُ بِهِ حَدُّ الشَّدائِدِ
O He through whom the sharp edges of afflictions are dulled!
وَیَا مَنْ یُلْتَمَسُ مِنْهُ الْمَخْرَجُ إِلَی رَوْحِ الْفَرَجِ
O He from whom is sought the way out to relief and comfort!
ذَلَّتْ لِقُدْرَتِكَ الصِّعَابُ، وَتَسَبَّبَتْ بِلُطْفِكَ الْأَسْبَابُ
Difficulties are humbled before Your power, and the chains of causes are linked together by Your gentleness.
وَجَرَى بِقُدرَتِكَ الْقَضَاءُ، وَمَضَتْ عَلَی إِرَادَتِكَ الْأَشْیَاءُ
Decrees run by Your power, and all things proceed according to Your will.
فَهِيَ بِـمَشِیَّتِكَ دُونَ قَوْلِكَ مُؤْتَـمِرَةٌ وَبِإرَادَتِكَ دُونَ نَهْیِكَ مُنْزَجِرَةٌ
Everything obeys Your will without Your command, and refrain by Your will without Your prohibition.
أَنْتَ الْمَدْعُوُّ لِلْمُهِمَّاتِ، وَأَنْتَ الْمَفْزَعُ فِي الْمُلِمَّاتِ
You are the One called upon in important matters, and You are the refuge in distressing adversities.
لَا یَنْدَفِعُ مِنْهَا إلَّا مَا دَفَعْتَ، وَلَا یَنْكَشِفُ مِنْهَا إلَّا مَا كَشَفْتَ
Nothing is repelled except what You repel, and none is removed except what You remove.
وَقَدْ نَزَلَ بِي یَا رَبِّ مَا قَدْ تَكأَّدَنِي ثِقْلُهُ
O my Lord, something has come upon me whose weight has burdened me,
وَأَلَمَّ بِي مَا قَدْ بَهَظَنِي حَمْلُهُ
and an affliction whose burden has crushed me.
وَبِقُدْرَتِكَ أَوْرَدْتَهُ عَلَيَّ، وَبِسُلْطَانِكَ وَجَّهْتَهُ إِلَيَّ
By Your power, You have brought it upon me, And by Your authority, You have directed it toward me.
فَلَا مُصْدِرَ لِمَا أَوْرَدْتَ، وَلَا صَارِفَ لِمَا وَجَّهْتَ
So there is none to turn away what You have brought, none to deflect what You have directed,
وَلَا فَاتِحَ لِمَا اَغْلَقْتَ، وَلَا مُغْلِقَ لِمَا فَتَحْتَ
None to open what You have closed, none to close what You have opened,
وَلَا مُیَسِّـرَ لِمَا عَسَّـرْتَ، وَلَا نَاصِـرَ لِمَنْ خَذَلْتَ
None to ease what You have made difficult, none to support whom You have abandoned.
فَصَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ، وَافْتَحْ لِي یَا رَبِّ بَابَ الْفَرَجِ بِطَوْلِكَ
So bless Muhammad and his family, and open for me, O Lord, the door of relief through Your grace.
وَاكْسِـرْ عَنِّي سُلْطانَ الْهَمِّ بِحَوْلِكَ
Break the hold of anxiety over me by Your strength.
وَأَنِلْنِي حُسْنَ النَّظَرِ فِیمَا شَكَوْتُ
Let me see goodness in what I complain of,
وَأَذِقْنِي حَلاوَةَ الصُّنْعِ فِیمَا سَأَلْتُ
Let me see goodness in what I complain of,
وَهَبْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً وَفَرَجاً هَنِیئاً
Grant me from Yourself a special mercy and a pleasant relief,
وَاجْعَلْ لِي مِنْ عِنْدِكَ مَخْرَجاً وَحِیّاً
and appoint for me from Yourself a quick way out.
وَلَا تَشْغَلْنِي بِالْاِهْتِمَامِ عَنْ تَعَاهُدِ فُرُوضِكَ وَاسْتِعْمَالِ سُنَّتِكَ
Do not let my worries distract me from attending to Your obligations and acting according to Your Sunna.
فَقَدْ ضِقْتُ لِمَا نَزَلَ بِي یَا رَبِّ ذَرْعاً
For I am too strained, O Lord, by what has come down on me,
وَامْتَلَأْتُ بِحَمْلِ مَا حَدَثَ عَلَيَّ هَمّاً
and too filled with worry by what has happened to me,
وَأَنْتَ الْقَادِرُ عَلَی كَشْفِ مَا مُنِیتُ بِهِ وَدَفْعِ مَا وَقَعْتُ فِیهِ
Yet You are capable of removing what has afflicted me, and repel what has befallen me.
فَافْعَلْ بِي ذَلِكَ، وَ إِنْ لَمْ أَسْتَوْجِبْهُ مِنْكَ، یَا ذَا الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِیمِ
So do that for me, Even if I do not deserve it. O Possessor of the Mighty Throne!
