بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِیمِ
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
اَللهُ أَکْبَرُ اَللهُ أَکْبَرُ اَللهُ أَکْبَرُ وَ أَعْلیَ وَ أَجَلُّ وَ أَعْظَمُ مِمَّا أَخَافُ وَ أَحْذَرُ
Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, and Most High, Most Glorious, and Most Magnificent than what I fear and dread.
أَسْتَجِیرُ بِاللهِ، عَزَّ جَارُ اللهِ وَ جَلَّ ثَنٰآءُ اللهِ
I seek refuge in Allah. Mighty is the protection of Allah, and exalted is the praise of Allah.
وَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَەُ لَا شَرِیكَ لَهُ، وَ صَلَّی اللهُ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ وَ سَلَّمَ کَـثِیراً
. And there is no god but Allah, Alone, with no partner. And may Allah bestow abundant blessings and peace upon Muhammad and his Household.
اَللّٰهُمَّ بِكَ أُعِیذُ نَفْسِي وَ دِینِي وَ أَهْلِي وَ مَالِي وَ وَلَدِي، وَ مَنْ یَعْنِینِي أَمْرُەُ
O Allah, through You I seek protection for myself, my religion, my family, my wealth, my children, and whoever’s affair concerns me.
اَللّٰهُمَّ بِكَ أَعُوذُ، وَ بِكَ أَلُوذُ وَ بِكَ أَصُولُ
O Allah, in You I seek refuge, to You I resort, and with Your aid I prevail.
وَإِیَّاكَ أَعْبُدُ وَإِیَّاكَ أَسْتَعِینُ، وَ عَلَیْكَ أَتَوَکَّلُ
And You alone I worship, and from You alone I seek aid, and upon You I rely.
وَ أَدْرَأُ بِكَ فِي نَحْرِ أَعْدَائِي وَ أَسْتَعِینُ بِكَ عَلَیْهِمْ
And by Your power, I repel my enemies, and I seek Your aid against them,
وَ أَسْتَکْفِیکَهُمْ فَاکْفِنِیهِمْ بِمَا شِئْتَ وَ أَنّیَ شِئْتَ وَ کَیْفَ شِئْتَ وَ حَیْثُ شِئْتَ
and I ask You to suffice me against them, so suffice me against them by whatever means You will, and in whatever manner You will, and wherever You will,
بِحَقِّكَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، إِنَّكَ عَلَی کُلِّ شَيءٍ قَدِیرٌ
by Your right, there is no god but You, indeed You are over all things Capable.
﴿فَسَيَكْفِيكَهُمُ اللهُ وَ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ﴾
So Allah will suffice you against them, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.”
﴿قَالَ سَنَشُدُّ عَضُدَكَ بِأَخِيكَ وَ نَجْعَلُ لَكُمَا سُلْطَانًا فَلَا يَصِلُونَ إِلَيْكُمَا بِآيَاتِنَآ أَنْتُمَا وَ مَنِ اتَّبَعَكُمَا الْغَالِبُون﴾
“He said, ‘We will strengthen your arm through your brother and grant you both authority so they will not reach you. With Our signs, you two and those who follow you will be the prevailers.'”
﴿قَالَ لَا تَخَافَا إِنَّنِي مَعَكُمٰآ أَسْمَعُ وَ أَرىَ﴾
“He said, ‘Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see.'”
﴿قَالَتْ إِنِّيٓ أَعُوذُ بِالرَّحْمَنِ مِنْكَ إِنْ كُنْتَ تَقِیًّا﴾، إِخْسَئُوا فِيهَا وَ لَا تُكَلِّمُون﴾
“He said, ‘Indeed, I seek refuge in the Most Merciful from you, if you should be fearing of God.'” “Remain humiliated therein and do not speak to Me!”
إِنِّي اَخَذْتُ بِسَمْعِ مَنْ یُطَالِبُنِي بِالسُّوءِ بِسَمْعِ اللهِ وَ بَصَـرِهِ وَ قُوَّتِهِ
Indeed, I disable the hearing of those who wish me harm by Allah’s Hearing, His Sight, and His Power.
وَ بِعِزَّةِ اللهِ وَ حَبْلِهِ الْمَتِینِ وَ سُلْطَانِهِ الْمُبِینِ
And by the Might of Allah, and His strong rope, and His clear authority,
فَلَیْسَ لَهُمْ عَلَیْنَا سَبِیلٌ وَ لَا سُلْطَانٌ إِنْ شٰآءَ اللهُ
so they have no way over us, nor any authority, if Allah wills
سَتَرْتُ بَیْنَنَا وَ بَیْنَهُمْ بِسِتْرِ النُّبُوَّةِ الَّذِي سَتَـرَ اللهُ بِهِ الْأَنْبِیٰآءَ مِنَ الْفَرَاعِنَةِ
I have created a veil between us and them with the veil of Prophethood, with which Allah veiled the prophets from the Pharaohs.
جَبْرَآئِیلُ عَنْ أَیْمَانِنَا وَ مِیکَائِیلُ عَنْ یَسَارِنَا، وَ اللهُ مُطَّلِعٌ عَلَیْنَا
Gabriel is on our right, and Michael is on our left, and Allah is watching over us.
﴿وَ جَعَلْنَا مِنْ بَیْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ سَدًّا وَ مِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ سَدًّا فَأَغْشَيْنَاهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُبْصِـرُونَ﴾
“And We have put before them barrier and behind them a barrier and covered them, so they do not see.”
شَاهَتِ الْوُجُوهُ ﴿فَغُلِبُوا هُنالِكَ وَانْقَلَبُوا صَاغِرِين﴾
May their faces be disgraced! “So they were overcome there and returned humbled.”
﴿صُمٌّ بُكْمٌ عُمْيٌ فَهُمْ لَا يُبْصِرُون﴾. ﴿وَ إِذَا قَرَأْتَ الْقُرْآنَ جَعَلْنَا بَيْنَكَ وَ بَیْنَ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ حِجَابًا مَسْتُورًا
“Deaf, dumb, and blind – so they do not see.” “And when you recite the Quran, We put between you and those who do not believe in the Hereafter a concealed barrier.
وَ جَعَلْنَا عَلَی قُلُوبِهِمْ أَكِنَّةً أَنْ يَفْقَهُوهُ وَ فِي آذَانِهِمْ وَقْرًا
We have cast veils over their hearts—leaving them unable to comprehend it—and deafness in their ears. And when you mention your Lord alone in the Quran, they turn their backs in aversion.”
وَ إِذَا ذَكَرْتَ رَبَّكَ فِي الْقُرْآنِ وَحْدَهُ وَلَّوْا عَلَی أَدْبَارِهِمْ نُفُورًا﴾
And when you mention your Lord alone in the Quran, they turn their backs in aversion.”
﴿قُلِ ادْعُوا اللهَ أَوِ ادْعُوا الرَّحْمَنَ أَيًّا مَا تَدْعُوا فَلَهُ الْأَسْمٰآءُ الْحُسْنَى
“Say, ‘Call upon Allah or call upon the Most Merciful. Whichever [name] you call, to Him belong the best names.
وَ لَا تَجْهَرْ بِصَلَاتِكَ وَ لَا تُخَافِتْ بِهَا وَابْتَغِ بَیْنَ ذَلِكَ سَبِيلًا
‘Do not recite your prayers too loudly or silently, but seek a way between.
وَ قُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِي لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَدًا وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ شَرِيكٌ فِي الْمُلْكِ
And say, ‘Praise to Allah, who has never had any offspring and has had no partner in [His] dominion
وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَلِيٌّ مِنَ الذُّلِّ وَ كَبِّرْهُ تَكْبِیراً﴾، سُبْحَانَ اللهِ بُکْرَةً وَ أَصِیلاً
and has no protector out of weakness; and glorify Him with [great] glorification.'” Glory be to Allah, in the morning and in the evening.
حَسْبِيَ اللهُ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ، حَسْبِيَ اللهُ الَّذِي یَکْفِي وَ لَا یَکْفي مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ
Allah is sufficient for me against His creation. Allah is sufficient for me
حَسْبِيَ اللهُ وَ نِعْمَ الْوَکِیلُ، ﴿حَسْبِيَ اللهُ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَ هُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ﴾
Who suffices, and nothing else can suffice me. Sufficient for me is Allah, and He is the best Disposer of affairs. “Allah is sufficient for me; there is no god but Him. Upon Him I have relied, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne.”
﴿أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ طَبَعَ اللهُ عَلَی قُلُوبِهِمْ وَ سَمْعِهِمْ وَ أَبْصَارِهِمْ وَ أُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْغَافِلُونَ﴾
“Those are the ones whose hearts, hearing, and vision Allah has sealed, and it is they who are heedless.”
﴿أَفَرَأَيْتَ مَنِ اتَّخَذَ إِلَهَهُ هَوَاهُ وَ أَضَلَّهُ اللهُ عَلَی عِلْمٍ وَ خَتَمَ عَلَی سَمْعِهِ وَ قَلْبِهِ وَ جَعَلَ عَلَی بَصَـرِەِ غِشَاوَةً فَمَنْ يَهْدِيهِ مِنْ بَعْدِ اللهِ أَفَلَا تَذَکَّرُونَ﴾
“Have you seen [O Prophet] those who have taken their own desires as their god? [And so] Allah left them to stray knowingly, sealed their hearing and hearts, and placed a cover on their sight. Who then can guide them after Allah? Will you [all] not then be mindful?”
﴿إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا عَلَی قُلُوبِهِمْ أَكِنَّةً أَنْ يَفْقَهُوهُ وَ فِي آذَانِهِمْ وَقْرًا وَإِنْ تَدْعُهُمْ إِلَی الْهُدىَ فَلَنْ يَهْتَدُوا إِذًا أَبَدًا﴾
“Indeed, We have placed over their hearts coverings—leaving them unable to comprehend it— and in their ears deafness. And if you invite them to guidance, they will never be guided then, ever.”
اَللّٰهُمَّ احْرُسْنَا بِعَیْنِكَ الَّتِي لَا تَنَامُ، وَاکْنُفْنَا بِرُکْنِكَ الَّذِي لَا یُرَامُ، وَ أَعِذْنَا بِسُلْطَانِكَ الَّذِی لَا یُضَامُ، وَ ارْحَمْنَا بِقُدْرَتِكَ یَا رَحْمَانُ
O Allah, guard us with Your Eye that never sleeps, and protect us with Your Unassailable Pillar, and shelter us with Your Authority that cannot be oppressed, and have mercy on us by Your Power, O Most Merciful.
اَللّٰهُمَّ لَا تُهْلِکْنَا وَ أَنْتَ بِنَا بَـرٌّ، یَا رَحْمَنُ أَتُهْلِکُنَا وَ أَنْتَ رَبُّنَا وَ حِصْنُنَا وَ رَجٰآؤُنَا
O Allah, do not destroy us while You are gracious to us. O Most Merciful, would You destroy us while You are our Lord, our fortress, and our hope?
حَسْبِيَ الرَّبُّ مِنَ الْمَرْبُوبِینَ، حَسْبِيَ الْخَالِقُ مِنَ الْمَخْلُوقِینَ
Sufficient for me is the Lord from those who are nurtured. Sufficient for me is the Creator from the created.
حَسْبِيَ الرَّازِقُ مِنَ الْمَرْزُوقِینَ، حَسْبِي مَنْ لَمْ یَزَلْ حَسْبِي
Sufficient for me is the Provider from those provided for. Sufficient for me is He who has always been sufficient for me.
حَسْبِيَ اللهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُـوَ رَبُّ الْعَـرْشِ الْعَـظِـیمِ
Sufficient for me is Allah; there is no god but Him, the Lord of the Great Throne.
حَسْبِيَ الَّذِي لَا یَمُنُّ عَلَی الَّذِینَ یَمُنُّونَ، حَسْبِيَ اللهُ وَ نِعْمَ الْوَکِیلُ
Sufficient for me is He who does not hold favors over those who hold favors. Sufficient for me is Allah, and He is the best Disposer of affairs.
وَ صَلَّی اللهُ عَلَی سَیِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ وَ سَلَّمَ کَثِیراً
And may Allah bestow abundant blessings and peace upon our master Muhammad and his Household.
اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَصْبَحْتُ فِي حِمَاكَ الَّذِي لَا یُسْتَبَاحُ
and I have entered the evening in Your inviolable covenant,
وَ أَمْسَیْتُ فِي ذِمَّتِكَ الَّتي لَا تُخْفَرُ، وَ جِوَارِكَ الَّذِي لَا یُضَامُ
and I have entered the evening in Your inviolable covenant, and Your unassailable proximity.
وَ أَسْأَلُكَ اللّٰهُمَّ بِعِزَّتِكَ وَ قُدْرَتِكَ أَنْ تَجْعَلَنِي فِي حِرْزِكَ وَ جِوَارِكَ
And I ask You, O Allah, by Your Might and Your Power, to place me in Your sanctuary and Your protection,
وَ أَمْنِكَ وَ عِیَاذِكَ، وَ عُدَّتِكَ وَ عَقْدِكَ، وَ حِفْظِكَ وَ أَمَانِكَ، وَ مَنْعِكَ الَّذِي لَا یُرَامُ
and Your security and Your refuge, and Your provision and Your firm bond, and Your safeguarding and Your safety, and Your impregnable prevention,
وَ عِزِّكَ الَّذِي لَا یُسْتَطَاعُ مِنْ غَضَبِكَ، وَ سُوءِ عِقَابِكَ وَ سَطْوَتِكَ وَ سُوءِ حَوَادِثِ النَّهَارِ، وَ طَوَارِقِ اللَّیْلِ إِلَّا طَارِقاً یَطْرُقُ بِخَیْرٍ یَا رَحْمَنُ
and Your irresistible might from Your wrath, and Your severe punishment, and Your vengeance, and the unfortunate events of the day and the calamities of the night, except for those trials that come with goodness and mercy, O You whose mercy is vast and all-encompassing
اَللّٰهُمَّ یَدُكَ فَوْقَ کُلِّ یَدٍ، وَ عِزَّتُكَ أَعَزُّ مِنْ کُلِّ عِزَّةٍ، وَ قُوَّتُكَ أَقْوَى مِنْ کُلِّ قُوَّةٍ
O Allah, Your Hand is above every hand, and Your Might is mightier than every might, and Your Power is stronger than every power,
وَ سُلْطَانُكَ أَجَلُّ وَ أَمْنَعُ مِنْ کُلِّ سُلْطَانٍ، أَدْرَأُ بِكَ فِي نُحُورِ أَعْدٰآئِي، وَ أَسْتَعِینُ بِكَ عَلَیْهِمْ
and Your Authority is more glorious and more unassailable than every authority.By You, I repel my enemies, and I seek Your aid against them,
وَ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شُرُورِهِمْ، وَ أَلْجَأُ إِلَیْكَ فِیمٰآ أَشْفَقْتُ عَلَیْهِ مِنْهُمْ
and I seek refuge in You from their evils, and I resort to You concerning what I fear from them.
وَ صَلَّی اللهُ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ أَجِرْنِي مِنْهُمْ یٰآ أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِینَ
And may Allah bestow blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and protect me from them [my enemies], O Most Merciful of the merciful.
﴿وَ قَالَ الْمَلِكُ ائْتُونِي بِهِ أَسْتَخْلِصْهُ لِنَفْسِي فَلَمَّا كَلَّمَهُ قَالَ إِنَّكَ الْيَوْمَ لَدَيْنَا مَكِینٌ أَمِینٌ﴾
“And the king said, ‘Bring him to me; I will specially select him for myself.’ And when he spoke to him, he said, ‘Indeed, you are today with us [in position] established and trustworthy.’
قَالَ اجْعَلْنِي عَلَی خَزٰآئِنِ الْأَرْضِ إِنِّي حَفِيظٌ عَلِيمٌ
[Joseph] said, ‘Appoint me over the storehouses of the land. Indeed, I am a knowledgeable guardian.’
وَ كَذَلِكَ مَكَّـنَّا لِيُوسُفَ فِي الْأَرْضِ يَتَبَوَّأُ مِنْهَا حَيْثُ يَشٰآءُ
And thus, We established Joseph in the land to settle therein wherever he willed.
نُصِيبُ بِرَحْمَتِنَا مَنْ نَشٰآءُ وَ لَا نُضِيعُ أَجْرَ الْمُحْسِنِینَ
We bestow Our mercy upon whom We will, and We do not allow to be lost the reward of those who do good.
وَ لَأَجْرُ الْآخِرَةِ خَیْرٌ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَ كَانُوا يَتَّقُونَ، وَ خَشَعَتِ الْأَصْوَاتُ لِلرَّحْمَنِ فَلَا تَسْمَعُ إِلَّا هَمْسًا
But the reward of the Hereafter is better for those who believed and used to fear Allah.” “And All voices will be hushed before the Most Beneficent. Only whispers will be heard.”
أُعِیذُ نَفْسِي وَ دِینِي وَ أَهْلي وَ وَلَدِي وَ مَالِي، وَ جَمِیعَ مَا تَلْحَقُهُ عِنَایَتِي
I seek protection for myself, my religion, my family, my children, my wealth, and all that falls under my care,
وَ جَمِیعَ نِعَمِ اللهِ عِنْدِي بِبِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِیمِ
and all of Allah’s blessings upon me, with ‘In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.’
بِسْمِ اللهِ الَّذِي خَضَعَتْ لَهُ الرِّقَابُ، وَ بِسْمِ اللهِ الَّذِي خَافَتْهُ الصُّدُورُ، وَ بِسْمِ اللهِ الَّذِي وَجِلَتْ مِنْهُ النُّفُوسُ
In the Name of Allah, to Whom necks have submitted. And in the Name of Allah, Whom hearts have feared. And in the Name of Allah, before Whom souls have trembled.
﴿وَ بِسْمِ اللهِ الَّذِي قَالَ بِهِ: یَا نَارُ كُونِي بَرْدًا وَ سَلَامًا عَلَی إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَ أَرَادُوا بِهِ كَيْدًا فَجَعَلْنَاهُمُ الْأَخْسَـرِينَ﴾
And in the Name of Allah, by Whom He said: “O fire, be coolness and safety upon Abraham!” And they intended for him a plot, but We made them the greatest losers.”
وَ بِسْمِ اللهِ الَّذِي مَلَأَ الْأَرْکَانَ کُلَّهَا، وَ بِعَزِیمَةِ اللهِ الَّتِي لَا تُحْصَی
And in the Name of Allah, Who fills all the pillars of existence, by His unwavering will that knows no bounds,
وَ بِقُدْرَةِ اللهِ الْمُسْتَطِیلَةِ عَلَی جَمِیعِ خَلْقِهِ، مِنْ شَرِّ جَمِیعِ مَنْ فِي هَذِەِ الدُّنْـیَا
and by the power of Allah that extends over all His creation; from the evil of all those in this world,
وَ مِنْ شَـرِّ سُلْطَانِهِمْ وَ سَطَوَاتِهِمْ وَ حَوْلِهِمْ وَ قُوَّتِهِمْ وَ ضَـرِّهِمْ وَ غَدْرِهِمْ وَ مَکْرِهِمْ
, and from the evil of their authority, their assaults, their influence, their strength, their harm, their treachery, and their cunning.
وَ أُعِیذُ نَفْسِي وَ أَهْلِي وَ مَالِی وَ وَلَدِي وَ ذَوِي عِنَایَتِي وَ جَمِیعَ نِعَمِ اللهِ عِنْدِي
And I seek protection for myself, my family, my wealth, my children, those under my care, and all of Allah’s blessings upon me,
بِشِدَّةِ حَوْلِ اللهِ، وَ بِشِدَّةِ قُوَّةِ اللهِ، وَ بِشِدَّةِ سَطْوَةِ اللهِ، وَ بِشِدَّةِ بَطْشِ اللهِ
by the immense might of Allah, and by the immense power of Allah, and by the immense dominance of Allah, and by the immense crushing might of Allah,
وَ بِشِدَّةِ جَبَـرُوتِ اللهِ، وَ بِمَوَاثیِقِ اللهِ وَ طَاعَتِهِ عَلَی الْجِنِّ وَ الْإِنْسِ
and by the immense absolute power of Allah, and by the covenants of Allah and His obedience over jinn and humankind.
بِسْمِ اللهِ الَّذِي ﴿يُمْسِكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْأَرْضَ أَنْ تَزُولَا وَ لَئِنْ زَالَتَا
In the Name of Allah, Who “withholds the heavens and the earth from ceasing to exist, and if they should cease,
إِنْ أَمْسَكَهُمَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ مِنْ بَعْدِەِ إِنَّهُ كَانَ حَلِيمًا غَفُورًا﴾
no one could withhold them after Him. Indeed, He is ever Forbearing and Forgiving.”
وَ بِسْمِ اللهِ الَّذِي فَلَقَ الْبَحْرَ لِبَنِي إِسْـرٰآئِیلَ
And in the Name of Allah, Who parted the sea for the Children of Israel.
وَ بِسْمِ اللهِ الَّذِي أَلانَ الْحَدِیدَ لِدَاوُدَ
And in the Name of Allah, Who softened iron for David.
وَ بِسْمِ اللهِ الَّذِي اَلأَرْضُ جَمِيعًا قَبْضَتُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَ السَّمَاوَاتُ مَطْوِيَّاتٌ بِيَمِينِهِ سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالیَ عَمَّا يُشْـرِكُونَ
And in the Name of Allah, “The whole earth will be in His grasp on the Day of Resurrection, and the heavens will be rolled up in His Hand. Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him.”
مِنْ شَرِّ جَمِیعِ مَنْ فِي هَذِەِ الدُّنْیَا، وَ مِنْ شَرِّ جَمِیعِ مَنْ خَلَقَهُ اللهُ وَ أَحَاطَ بِهِ عِلْمُهُ
[From] the evil of all those in this world, and from the evil of all whom Allah has created and whose knowledge He encompasses,
وَمِنْ شَرِّ کُلِّ ذِي شَرٍّ، وَ مِنْ شَرِّ حَسَدِ کُلِّ حَاسِدٍ، وَ سِعَایَةِ کُلِّ سَاعٍ، وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِیمِ شَأْنُهُ
and from the evil of every evil-doer, and from the evil of the jealousy of every jealous person, and the machinations of every schemer. And there is no power and no strength except with Allah, the Most High, the Greatest in His glory.
اَللّٰهُمَّ بِكَ أَسْتَعِینُ، وَ بِكَ أَسْتَغِیثُ، وَ عَلَیْكَ أَتَـوَکَّلُ، وَ أَنْتَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِیمِ
O Allah, from You I seek aid, and from You I seek support, and upon You I rely, and You are the Lord of the Great Throne.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَ احْفَظْنِي وَ خَلِّصْنِي مِنْ کُلِّ مَعْصِیَةٍ وَ مٌصِیبَةٍ نَزَلَتْ فِي هَذَا الْیَوْمِ، وَ فِي هَذِەِ اللَّیْلَةِ، وَ فِي جَمِیعِ اللَّیَالِي وَ الْاَیَّامِ مِنَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْاَرْضِ، إِنَّكَ عَلَی کُلِّ شَيْء قَدِیرٌ
O Allah, bestow blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and preserve me and deliver me from every sin and misfortune that has descended on this day, and on this night, and in all nights and days, from the heavens and the earth. Indeed, You are over all things Capable.
بِسْمِ اللهِ عَلَی نَفْسِي وَ مَالِي وَ أَهْلِي وَ وَلَدِي، بِسْمِ اللهِ عَلَی کُلِّ شَيْءٍ أَعْطَانِي رَبِّي
In the Name of Allah, upon myself, my wealth, my family, and my children. In the Name of Allah, upon everything my Lord has granted me.
بِسْمِ اللهِ خَیْرِ الْأَسْمٰآءِ، بِسْمِ اللهِ رَبِّ الْأَرْضِ وَ السَّمٰآءٍ
In the Name of Allah, the Best of Names. In the Name of Allah, Lord of the earth and the heaven.
بِسْمِ اللهِ الَّذِي لَا یَضُرُّ مَعَ إِسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَ لَا فِي السَّمٰآءِ وَ هُوَ السَّمِیعُ الْعَلِیمِ
In the Name of Allah, with whose Name nothing on earth or in the heaven can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
اَللّٰهُمَّ رَضِّنِي بِمَا قَضَیْتَ، وَ عَافِنِي فِیمٰآ أَمْضَیْتَ
O Allah, make me content with what You have decreed, and grant me well-being in what You have ordained,
حَتَّى لٰآ أُحِبَّ تَعْجِیلَ مٰآ أَخَّرْتَ، وَ لَا تَأْخِیرَ مَا عَجَّلْتَ
so that I do not wish to hasten what You have delayed, nor to delay what You have hastened.
اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنّيٓ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ أَضْغَاثِ الْأَحْلَامِ، وَ أَنْ یَلْعَبَ بِيَ الشَّیْطَانُ فِي الْیَقْظَةِ وَ الْمَنَامِ
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from nightmares, and from Satan playing with me in wakefulness and in sleep.
بِسْمِ اللهِ، تَحَصَّنْتُ بِالْحَيِّ الَّذِي لَا یَمُوتُ مِنْ شَـرِّ مٰآ أَخَافُ وَ أَحْذَرُ
In the Name of Allah, I fortify myself with the Ever-Living, Who never dies, from the evil of what I fear and dread.
وَ رَمَیْتُ مَنْ یُرِیدُ بِي سُوءاً أَوْ مَکْرُوهاً مِنْ بَیْنِ یَدَيَّ بِلَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِیمِ
And I repel whoever intends evil or harm for me, with the belief that there is no power or strength except through the assistance of the Most High, the Almighty.”
وَ أَعُوذُ بِاللهِ مِنْ شَرِّکُمْ، شَرُّکُمْ تَحْتَ أَقْدَامِکُمْ، وَ خَیْرُکُمْ بَیْنَ أَعْیُنِکُمْ، وَ أُعِیذُ نَفْسِي وَ مٰآ أَعْطَانِي رَبِّي وَ مَا مَلَکَتْهُ یَدِي وَ ذَوِي عِنَایَتِي، بِرُکْنِ اللهِ الْأَشَدِّ، وَ کُلُّ أَرْکَانِ رَبِّي شِدَادٌ
I seek refuge in the Divine presence from your hidden evil, which is concealed behind a facade of goodness.I entrust my soul, all that God has granted me, everything under my control, and all those who are dependent on me to His unwavering power. Indeed, all the powers of my Lord are steadfast and enduring.
اَللّٰهُمَّ تَوَسَّلْتُ بِكَ إِلَیْكَ، وَ تَحَمَّلْتُ بِكَ عَلَیْكَ
O Allah, I have sought means to You through You,
فَإِنَّهُ لَا یُنَالُ مَا عِنْدَكَ إِلَّا بِكَ، أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
and I have relied upon You through You, for indeed, what is with You cannot be attained except through You. I ask You to bestow blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,
وَ أَنْ تَکْفِیَنِي شَـرَّ مٰآ أَحْذَرُ وَ مَا لَا یَبْلُغُهُ حِذَارِي
and to suffice me against the evil of what I fear and what my caution cannot reach.
إِنَّكَ عَلَی کُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِیرٌ وَ هُوَ عَلَیْكَ یَسِیرٌ
Indeed, You are over all things Capable, and that is easy for You.
جِبْرِیلُ عَنْ یَمِینِي، وَ مِیکَائِیلُ عَنْ شِمَالِي، وَ إِسْرَافِیلُ أَمَامِي، وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ الْعَلِیِّ الْعَظِیمِ
Gabriel is on my right, and Michael is on my left, and Israfil is before me. And there is no power and no strength except with Allah, the Most High, the Greatest.
اَللّٰهُمَّ مُخْرِجَ الْوَلَدِ مِنَ الرَّحِمِ، وَ رَبَّ الشَّفْعِ وَ الْوَتْرِ
O Allah, You who bring the child forth from the womb and are the Lord of both even and odd,
سَخِّرْ لِي مٰآ أُرِیدُ مِنْ دُنْیَايَ وَ آخِرَتِي، وَاکْفِنِي مٰآ أَهَمَّنِي إِنَّكَ عَلَی کُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِیرٌ
make it easy for me to attain what I desire in this world and the hereafter, and remove that which troubles my heart. Surely, You are capable of all things.
اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي عَبْدُكَ وَ ابْنُ عَبْدِكَ وَ ابْنُ أَمَتِكَ، نَاصِیَتِي بِیَدِكَ
O Allah, indeed I am Your servant, and the son of Your servant, and the son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your Hand.
مَاضٍ فِيَّ حُکْمُكَ، عَدْلٌ فِيَّ قَضٰآؤُكَ، أَسْأَلُكَ بِکُلِّ اسْمٍ سَمَّیْتَ بِهِ نَفْسَكَ
Your judgment upon me is effective. Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every Name You have called Yourself,
أَوْ أَنْزَلْتَهُ فِي کِتَابِكَ، أَوْ عَلَّمْتَهُ أَحَداً مِنْ خَلْقِكَ، أَوِ اسْتأْثَرْتَ بِهِ فِي عِلْمِ الْغَیْبِ عِنْدَكَ
or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or kept to Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen with You,
أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَ أَنْ تَجْعَلَ الْقُرْآنَ رَبِیعَ قَلْبِي، وَ نُورَ بَصَرِي، وَ شِفٰآءَ صَدْرِي، وَ جَلٰآءَ حُزْنِي، وَ ذَهَابَ هَمِّي، وَ قَضٰآءَ دَیْنِي
that You bestow blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and that You make the Quran the spring of my heart, and the light of my sight, and the healing of my chest, and the dispelling of my sorrow, and the removal of my worry, and the settling of my debt.
لٰآ إِلَهَ إِلَّآ أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِین
“There is no god except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been among the wrongdoers.”
یَا حَيُّ حِینَ لَاحَيَّ، یَا حَيُّ یَا قَیُّومُ یَا مُحْیِيَ الْأَمْوَاتِ
ای کسی که زنده هستی آنگاه که هیچ زندهای وجود ندارد، ای زنده و ای پایندۀ قائم به ذات،ای زنده کنندۀ مردگان،
وَ الْقٰآئِمُ عَلَی کُلِّ نَفْسٍ بِـمَا کَسَبَتْ، یَا حَيُّ لٰآ إِلَهَ إِلَّآ أَنْتَ
O You who observe the actions of every soul; O Ever-Living, there is no god but You.
بِرَحْمَتِكَ الَّتِي وَسِعَتْ کُلَّ شَيْءٍ اسْتَعَنْتُ فَأَعِنِّي
By Your Mercy that encompasses everything, I sought aid, so aid me.
وَاجْمَعْ لِي خَیْرَ الدُّنْیَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ، وَ اصْـرِفْ عَنِّي شَرَّهُمَا بِمَنِّكَ وَ سَعَةِ فَضْلِكَ
And grant me the good of this world and the Hereafter, and keep away from me their evil by Your grace and the vastness of Your bounty.
اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنَّكَ مَلِیكٌ مُقْتَدِرٌ، وَ مَا تَشٰآءُ مِنْ أَمْرٍ یَکُنْ
O Allah, indeed You are a Powerful Sovereign, and whatever You will of a matter, it comes to be.
فَصَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ وَ فَرِّجْ عَنِّي، وَ اکْفِنِي مٰآ أَهَمَّنِي، إِنَّكَ عَلَی ذَلِكَ قَادِرٌ
So bestow blessings upon Muhammad and his family, and relieve me, and suffice me against what concerns me. Indeed, You are Capable of that,
یَا جَوَادُ یَا کَرِیمُ، اَللّٰهُمَّ بِكَ أَسْتَفْتِحُ، وَ بِكَ أَسْتَنْجِحُ
O Generous, O Noble One. O Allah, by You I seek success, and by You I seek prosperity,
وَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ وَ رَسُولِكَ صَلَّی اللهُ عَلَیْهِ وَ آلِهِ إِلَیْكَ أَتَوَجَّهُ
and through Muhammad, Your servant and Messenger (May Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him and his family), I turn to You.
اَللّٰهُمَّ سَهِّلْ لِي حُزُونَةَ أَمْري، وَ ذَلِّلْ لِي صُعُوبَتَهُ
O Allah, make easy for me the difficulties of my affair, and smooth for me its hardships,
وَ أَعْطِنِي مِنَ الْخَیْرِ أَکْثَـرَ مِمّٰآ أَرْجُو
and grant me more good than I hope for,
وَ اصْـرِفْ عَنِّي مِنَ الشَّرِّ أَکْثَـرَ مِمّٰآ أَخَافُ وَ أَحْذَرُ، وَ مِمَّا لٰآ أَحْذَرُ
and avert from me more evil than I fear and dread, and more than I do not dread.
وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِیمِ
And there is no power and no strength except with Allah, the Most High, the Greatest.
وَ صَلَّی اللهُ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ، وَ حَسْبُنَا اللهُ وَ نِعْمَ الْوَکِیلُ، نِعْمَ الْمَوْلیَ، وَ نِعْمَ النَّصِیرُ
And may Allah bestow blessings upon Muhammad and his family. And Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Disposer of affairs. What an excellent Protector, and what an excellent Helper.
