اللَّهُمَّ وَ مُنَّ عَلَيَّ بِبَقَاءِ وُلْدِي وَ بِإِصْلَاحِهِمْ لِي و بِإِمْتَاعِي بِهِمْ
O Allah, bestow Your grace upon me by preserving the lives of my children, by reforming them for my sake, and by allowing me to enjoy their presence.
إِلَهِي امْدُدْ لِي فِي أَعْمَارِهِمْ، وَ زِدْ لِي فِي آجَالِهِمْ
My Beloved, extend their lifespans for me, and postpone their appointed times of death.
وَ رَبِّ لِي صَغِيرَهُمْ، وَ قَوِّ لِي ضَعِيفَهُمْ
O Allah, nurture their young ones for me, and strengthen those who are weak among them for me.
وَ أَصِحَّ لِي أَبْدَانَهُمْ وَ أَدْيَانَهُمْ وَ أَخْلَاقَهُمْ
Grant soundness and well-being to their bodies, their faith, and their moral traits, for my sake.
وَ عَافِهِمْ فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ وَ فِي جَوَارِحِهِمْ وَ فِي كُلِّ مَا عُنِيتُ بِهِ مِنْ أَمْرِهِمْ
Grant them health in their souls, in their limbs, and in all matters of theirs which concern and preoccupy me.
وَ أَدْرِرْ لِي وَ عَلَى يَدَيَّ أَرْزَاقَهُمْ
Let their sustenance flow in abundance by my hands.
وَ اجْعَلْهُمْ أَبْرَاراً أَتْقِيَاءَ بُصَرَاءَ سَامِعِينَ مُطِيعِينَ لَكَ
Make them righteous, God-fearing, insightful, attentive, and obedient to You.
وَ لِأَوْلِيَائِكَ مُحِبِّينَ مُنَاصِحِينَ، وَ لِجَمِيعِ أَعْدَائِكَ مُعَانِدِينَ وَ مُبْغِضِينَ، آمِينَ
And make them loving and loyal to Your allies, and hostile and full of enmity toward all of Your enemies. Ameen.
اللَّهُمَّ اشْدُدْ بِهِمْ عَضُدِي، وَ أَقِمْ بِهِمْ أَوَدِي
O Allah, strengthen my arm through them, and by their blessing, straighten what is unstable in me.
وَ كَثِّرْ بِهِمْ عَدَدِي، وَ زَيِّنْ بِهِمْ مَحْضَرِي
Increase my number through them, and beautify my gatherings with their presence.
وَ أَحْيِ بِهِمْ ذِكْرِي، وَ اكْفِنِي بِهِمْ فِي غَيْبَتِي، وَ أَعِنِّي بِهِمْ عَلَى حَاجَتِي
Keep my remembrance alive through them, take care of my affairs in my absence by means of them, and assist me through them in fulfilling my needs.
وَ اجْعَلْهُمْ لِي مُحِبِّينَ، وَ عَلَيَّ حَدِبِينَ مُقْبِلِينَ مُسْتَقِيمِينَ لِي، مُطِيعِينَ
Make them loving toward me, compassionate with me, devoted to me, upright in their dealings with me, and obedient.
غَيْرَ عَاصِينَ وَ لَا عَاقِّينَ وَ لَا مُخَالِفِينَ وَ لَا خَاطِئِينَ
Let them never be disobedient, rebellious, defiant, or sinful.
وَ أَعِنِّي عَلَى تَرْبِيَتِهِمْ وَ تَأْدِيبِهِمْ، وَ بِرِّهِمْ
And aid me in raising them, disciplining them, and nurturing their goodness.
وَ هَبْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ مَعَهُمْ أَوْلَاداً ذُكُوراً، وَ اجْعَلْ ذَلِكَ خَيْراً لِي
Grant me, from Your grace, male offspring, and make this a source of goodness for me.
وَ اجْعَلْهُمْ لِي عَوْناً عَلَى مَا سَأَلْتُكَ
And make them my helpers in attaining what I have asked of You.
وَ أَعِذْنِي وَ ذُرِّيَّتِي مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ
Give me and my offspring refuge from the accursed Satan,
فَإِنَّكَ خَلَقْتَنَا وَ أَمَرْتَنَا وَ نَهَيْتَنَا وَ رَغَّبْتَنَا فِي ثَوَابِ مَا أَمَرْتَنَا وَ رَهَّبْتَنَا عِقَابَهُ
because You are the One who created us, commanded us, and forbade us; You inspired us with hope through the reward of obedience, and instilled in us fear through the threat of punishment.
وَ جَعَلْتَ لَنَا عَدُوّاً يَكِيدُنَا، سَلَّطْتَهُ مِنَّا عَلَى مَا لَمْ تُسَلِّطْنَا عَلَيْهِ مِنْهُ
And You appointed for us an enemy who schemes against us; You gave him a power over us that we do not possess over him.
أَسْكَنْتَهُ صُدُورَنَا، وَ أَجْرَيْتَهُ مَجَارِيَ دِمَائِنَا، لَا يَغْفُلُ إِنْ غَفَلْنَا
You placed him within our chests and let him flow through our veins; he is never heedless even when we are heedless.
وَ لَا يَنْسَى إِنْ نَسِينَا، يُؤْمِنُنَا عِقَابَكَ، وَ يُخَوِّفُنَا بِغَيْرِكَ
He does not forget even when we forget. He gives us false security from Your punishment and makes us fear anyone but You.
إِنْ هَمَمْنَا بِفَاحِشَةٍ شَجَّعَنَا عَلَيْهَا، وَ إِنْ هَمَمْنَا بِعَمَلٍ صَالِحٍ ثَبَّطَنَا عَنْهُ
If we incline toward an indecent act, he encourages us to pursue it; and if we intend a righteous deed, he holds us back from it.
يَتَعَرَّضُ لَنَا بِالشَّهَوَاتِ، وَ يَنْصِبُ لَنَا بِالشُّبُهَاتِ
He confronts us with temptations and desires, and sets traps for us through doubts and misconceptions.
إِنْ وَعَدَنَا كَذَبَنَا، وَ إِنْ مَنَّانَا أَخْلَفَنَا
If he makes promises to us, he lies; and if he arouses hopes in us, he betrays them.
وَ إِلَّا تَصْرِفْ عَنَّا كَيْدَهُ يُضِلَّنَا، وَ إِلَّا تَقِنَا خَبَالَهُ يَسْتَزِلَّنَا
If You do not turn away his deception from us, he will lead us astray; and if You do not shield us from his corruption, he will cause us to stumble.
اللَّهُمَّ فَاقْهَرْ سُلْطَانَهُ عَنَّا بِسُلْطَانِكَ
O Allah, overpower his dominion over us with Your divine might,
حَتَّى تَحْبِسَهُ عَنَّا بِكَثْرَةِ الدُّعَاءِ لَكَ فَنُصْبِحَ مِنْ كَيْدِهِ فِي الْمَعْصُومِينَ بِكَ
until, through our abundant supplication to You, You restrain him from us—and by Your protection, we join those who are safeguarded from his plots.
اللَّهُمَّ أَعْطِنِي كُلَّ سُؤْلِي، وَ اقْضِ لِي حَوَائِجِي
O Allah, grant me all that I ask of You, and fulfill all of my needs.
وَ لَا تَمْنَعْنِي الْإِجَابَةَ وَ قَدْ ضَمِنْتَهَا لِي
Do not withhold from me the answer to my prayers, for You have promised to respond.
وَ لَا تَحْجُبْ دُعَائِي عَنْكَ وَ قَدْ أَمَرْتَنِي بِهِ
Do not turn my supplication away from You, for it is You who commanded me to call upon You.
وَ امْنُنْ عَلَيَّ بِكُلِّ مَا يُصْلِحُنِي فِي دُنْيَايَ وَ آخِرَتِي
Bestow Your grace upon me through all that sets my affairs right in this world and the hereafter.
مَا ذَكَرْتُ مِنْهُ وَ مَا نَسِيتُ، أَوْ أَظْهَرْتُ أَوْ أَخْفَيْتُ أَوْ أَعْلَنْتُ أَوْ أَسْرَرْتُ
Whether I remembered it or forgot it, declared it or concealed it, made it known or kept it hidden.
وَ اجْعَلْنِي فِي جَمِيعِ ذَلِكَ مِنَ الْمُصْلِحِينَ بِسُؤَالِي إِيَّاكَ
And in all of this, make me one of those who are reformed through turning to You in supplication,
الْمُنْجِحِينَ بِالطَّلَبِ إِلَيْكَ غَيْرِ الْمَمْنُوعِينَ بِالتَّوَكُّلِ عَلَيْكَ
those whose requests to You are granted success, who are never denied because of their trust in You.
الْمُعَوَّدِينَ بِالتَّعَوُّذِ بِكَ، الرَّابِحِينَ فِي التِّجَارَةِ عَلَيْكَ
Make me one of those accustomed to seeking refuge in You, who have profited richly in their dealings with You.
الْمُجَارِينَ بِعِزِّكَ، الْمُوَسَّعِ عَلَيْهِمُ الرِّزْقُ الْحَلَالُ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ الْوَاسِعِ بِجُودِكَ وَ كَرَمِكَ
Those who dwell safely under the shelter of Your honor, whose lawful provision You have abundantly spread over them from the vastness of Your grace, generosity, and bounty.
الْمُعَزِّينَ مِنَ الذُّلِّ بِكَ، وَ الْمُجَارِينَ مِنَ الظُّلْمِ بِعَدْلِكَ
Those whom You have lifted from humiliation to honor through Your grace, and who find refuge from oppression through your justice.
وَ الْمُعَافَيْنَ مِنَ الْبَلَاءِ بِرَحْمَتِكَ، وَ الْمُغْنَيْنَ مِنَ الْفَقْرِ بِغِنَاكَ
Those granted well-being from trials through Your mercy, and enriched from poverty through Your boundless provision.
وَ الْمَعْصُومِينَ مِنَ الذُّنُوبِ وَ الزَّلَلِ وَ الْخَطَاءِ بِتَقْوَاكَ
Those protected—through their reverence for You—from sins, slips, and mistakes.
وَ الْمُوَفَّقِينَ لِلْخَيْرِ وَ الرُّشْدِ وَ الصَّوَابِ بِطَاعَتِكَ
Those granted success in goodness, righteousness, and correctness by virtue of their obedience to You.
وَ الْمُحَالِ بَيْنَهُمْ وَ بَيْنَ الذُّنُوبِ بِقُدْرَتِكَ
Those from whom sin is barred by the power of Your will.
التَّارِكِينَ لِكُلِّ مَعْصِيَتِكَ، السَّاكِنِينَ فِي جِوَارِكَ
Those who have abandoned all disobedience to You and have taken up residence in the sanctuary of Your nearness.
اللَّهُمَّ أَعْطِنَا جَمِيعَ ذَلِكَ بِتَوْفِيقِكَ وَ رَحْمَتِكَ، وَ أَعِذْنَا مِنْ عَذَابِ السَّعِيرِ
O Allah, grant us all of that through Your guidance and mercy, and protect us from the blazing torment of Hellfire.
وَ أَعْطِ جَمِيعَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَ الْمُسْلِمَاتِ وَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ مِثْلَ الَّذِي سَأَلْتُكَ لِنَفْسِي وَ لِوُلْدِي فِي عَاجِلِ الدُّنْيَا وَ آجِلِ الْآخِرَةِ
And grant all Muslim men and women, believing men and women, the same as what I have asked for myself and my children—both in this world and the Hereafter.
إِنَّكَ قَرِيبٌ مُجِيبٌ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ عَفُوٌّ غَفُورٌ رَؤوفٌ رَحِيمٌ
Indeed, You are Ever Near, Responsive, All-Hearing, All-Knowing, Ever-Forgiving, All-Pardoning, deeply kind, and Most Merciful.
وَ آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً، وَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَ قِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
And grant us goodness in this world and goodness in the Hereafter, and protect us from the torment of Hellfire.
