اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ
O Allah, Send blessings upon Muhammad and his family,
وَبَلِّغْ بِإِیمَانِي أَكْمَلَ الْإِیمَانِ
and let me reach the most complete level of faith,
وَاجْعَلْ يَقِينِي أَفْضَلَ الْيَقِینِ
and make my certainty the most excellent of certainties,
وَانْتَهِ بِنِيَّتِي إِلَی أَحْسَنِ النِّيَّاتِ
and bring my intention to the best of intentions,
وَبِعَمَلِي إِلَی أَحْسَنِ الْأَعْمَالِ
and my deeds to the finest of deeds.
اَللّٰهُمَّ وَفِّرْ بِلُطْفِكَ نِيَّتِي
O Allah, enrich my intention through Your kindness,
وَصَحِّحْ بِـمَا عِنْدَكَ يَقِينِي
and correct my certainty by what You hold,
وَاسْتَصْلِحْ بِقُدْرَتِكَ مَا فَسَدَ مِنِّي
and by Your power, reform whatever has been corrupted in me.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family,
وَاكْفِنِي مَا يَشْغَلُنِي الاِهْتِمامُ بِهِ
and suffice me from whatever preoccupies me with worry,
وَاسْتَعْمِلْنِي بِـمَا تَسْأَلُنِي غَداً عَنْهُ
and employ me in what You will ask me about on the Day of Judgment,
وَاسْتَفْرِغْ أَيَّامِي فِيمَا خَلَقْتَنِي لَهُ
and let all my days be devoted to that for which You created me,
وَأَغْنِنِي، وَأَوْسِعْ عَلَيَّ فِي رِزْقِكَ، وَلَا تَفْتِنِّي بِالنَّظَرِ
and enrich me, and expand for me Your provision, and do not test me through looking (at what is not for me),
وَأَعِزَّنِي وَلَا تَبْتَلِيَنِّي بِالْكِبْـرِ
and honor me, and do not afflict me with arrogance,
وَعَبِّدْنِي لَكَ وَلَا تُفْسِدْ عِبَادَتِي بِالْعُجْبِ
and place me on the path of servitude to You, but do not ruin my worship through vanity,
وَأَجْرِ لِلنَّاسِ عَلَی يَدِي[1] الْخَیْرَ
and let goodness flow to people through my hands,
وَلاَ تَـمْحَقْهُ بِالْمَنِّ
and do not erase it through reminding (of favors).
وَهَبْ لِي مَعَالِي الْأَخْلَاقِ
And grant me the loftiest of morals,
وَاعْصِمْنِي مِنَ الْفَخْرِ
and protect me from pride.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family,
وَلَا تَرْفَعْنِي فِي النَّاسِ دَرَجَةً إِلَّا حَطَطْتَنِي عِنْدَ نَفْسِي مِثْلَهَا
and do not raise me in the eyes of people by a degree without lowering me within myself to the same extent,
وَلَا تُحْدِثْ لِي عِزّاً ظَاهِراً إِلَّا أَحْدَثْتَ لِي ذِلَّةً بَاطِنَةً عِنْدَ نَفْسِي بِقَدَرِهَا
and do not give me outward honor without granting me inward humility in equal measure.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family,
وَمَتِّعْنِي بِهُدًى صَالِحٍ لَا أَسْتَبْدِلُ بِهِ
and let me enjoy righteous guidance which I never replace,
وَطَرِيقَةِ حَقٍّ لَا أَزِيغُ عَنْهَا
and a path of truth from which I never deviate,
وَنِيَّةِ رُشْدٍ لَا أَشُكُّ فِيهَا
and an upright intention about which I harbor no doubt.
وَعَمِّرْنِی مَا كَانَ عُمُرِي بِذْلَةً فِي طَاعَتِكَ
And let me live as long as my life is a spending in Your obedience,
فَإِذَا كَانَ عُمُرِي مَرْتَعاً لِلشَّيْطَانِ فَاقْبِضْنِي إِلَيْكَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَسْبِقَ مَقْتُكَ إِلَيَّ، أَوْ يَسْتَحْكِمَ غَضَبُكَ عَلَيَّ
but if my life becomes a pasture for Satan, then seize me to Yourself before Your wrath overtakes me, or Your anger becomes firmly established upon me.
اَللّٰهُمَّ لَا تَدَعْ خَصْلَةً تُعَابُ مِنِّي إِلَّا أَصْلَحْتَهَا
O Allah, leave no flaw in me that is blameworthy except that You mend it,
وَلَا عَائِبَةً أُؤَنَّبُ بِهَا إِلَّا حَسَّنْتَهَا، وَلَا أُكْرُومَةً فِيَّ نَاقِصَةً إِلَّا أَتْـمَمْتَهَا
nor any defect for which I am reproached except that You beautify it, and no noble trait within me that is deficient except that You complete it.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family,
وَأَبْدِلْنِي مِنْ بِغْضَةِ أَهْلِ الشَّنَآنِ الْمحَبَّةَ
and instill affection in the hearts of those who bear grudges and hostility against me,
وَمِنْ حَسَدِ أَهْلِ الْبَغْيِ الْمَوَدَّةَ
and transform the jealousy of the oppressors towards me into affection,
وَمِنْ ظِنَّةِ أَهْلِ الصَّلَاحِ الثِّقَةَ، وَمِنْ عَدَاوَةِ الْأَدْنَیْنَ الْوَلَايَةَ، وَمِنْ عُقُوقِ ذَوِي الْأَرْحَامِ الْمَبَـرَّةَ
and replace suspicion of the righteous with complete trust, the enmity of close ones with friendship, and separation from relatives with bonding and benevolence,
وَمِنْ خِذْلَانِ الْأَقْرَبِینَ النُّصْـرَةَ
and transform the abandonment of kin’s support into protection and aid,
وَمِنْ حُبِّ الْمُدَارِينَ تَصْحِيحَ الْمِقَةِ
and replace superficial tolerance masquerading as friendship with sincerity,
وَمِنْ رَدِّ الْمُلَابِسِینَ كَرَمَ الْعِشْـرَةِ
and substitute companions’ discord with noble communion,
وَمِنْ مَرَارَةِ خَوْفِ الظَّالِمِینَ حَلَاوَةَ الْأَمَنَة
and instead of bitter fear of oppressors, let me taste the sweetness of security.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ
O Allah, send Your blessings upon Muhammad and his family,
وَاجْعَلْ لِي يَداً عَلَی مَنْ ظَلَمَنِي
and grant me strength over the one who wronged me,
وَلِسَاناً عَلَی مَنْ خَاصَمَنِي
and a tongue to prevail over the one who argued with me,
وَظَفَراً بِـمَنْ عَانَدَنِي
and victory over the one who opposed me,
وَهَبْ لِي مَكْراً عَلَی مَنْ كَايَدَنِي
and bestow upon me strategy against the one who deceived me,
وَقُدْرَةً عَلَی مَنِ اضْطَهَدَنِي
and power over the one who oppressed me,
وَتَكْذِيباً لِمَنْ قَصَبَنِي
and the ability to refute the one who falsely accused me,
وَسَلَامَةً مِمَّنْ تَوَعَّدَنِي
and safety from the one who threatened me,
وَوَفِّقْنِي لِطَاعَةِ مَنْ سَدَّدَنِي
and guide me to obey the one who sets me right,
وَمُتَابَعَةِ مَنْ أَرْشَدَنِي
and to follow the one who has guided me
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ
O Allah, send Your blessings upon Muhammad and his family,
وَسَدِّدْنِي لِأَنْ أُعَارِضَ مَنْ غَشَّنِي بِالنُّصْحِ
and direct me to confront the one who deceived me with sincere advice,
وَأَجْزِيَ مَنْ هَجَرَنِي بِالْبِـرِّ
and to reward the one who abandoned me with kindness,
وَأُثِيبَ مَنْ حَرَمَنِي بِالْبَذْلِ
and to repay the one who deprived me with generosity,
وَأُكَافِیءَ مَنْ قَطَعَنِي بِالصِّلَةِ
and to recompense the one who severed ties with me through connection,
وَأُخَالِفَ مَنِ اغْتَابَنِي إِلَی حُسْنِ الذِّكْرِ
and to respond to the one who backbit me with good mention,
وَأَنْ أَشْكُرَ الْحَسَنَةَ وَأُغْضِيَ عَنِ السَّيِّئَةِ
and to give thanks for the good deed, and to overlook the wrongdoing.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ
O Allah, send Your blessings upon Muhammad and his family,
وَحَلِّنِي بِحِلْيَةِ الصَّالِحِینَ، وَأَلْبِسْنِي زِينَةَ الْمُتَّقِینَ
and adorn me with the adornment of the righteous, and clothe me with the beauty of the God-fearing,
فِي بَسْطِ الْعَدْلِ، وَكَظْمِ الغَيْظِ، وَإِطْفَاءِ النَّائِرَةِ، وَضَمِّ أَهْلِ الْفُرْقَةِ
in spreading justice, and restraining anger, and extinguishing the flames of enmity, and uniting the people of division,
وإِصْلَاحِ ذَاتِ الْبَیْنِ وَإِفْشَاءِ الْعَارِفَةِ، وَسَتْـرِ الْعَائِبَةِ
and reconciling between hearts, and spreading mutual understanding, and covering the faults,
وَلِینِ الْعَرِيكَةِ وَخَفْضِ الْجَنَاحِ، وَحُسْنِ السِّيـرَةِ
and gentleness of temperament, and humility, and good conduct,
وَسُكُونِ الرِّيحِ، وَطِيبِ الْمُخَالَقَةِ، وَالسَّبْقِ إِلَی الْفَضِيلَةِ
and calmness of spirit, and pleasant manners, and hastening to virtue,
وَإِيثَارِ التَّفَضُّلِ، وَتَرْكِ التَّعْيِیرِ، وَالْإِفْضَالِ عَلَی غَیْرِ الْمُسْتَحِقِّ
and preferring generosity, and avoiding reproach, and bestowing favor even upon the undeserving,
وَالْقَوْلِ بِالْحَقِّ وَإِنْ عَزَّ
and speaking the truth even if it is difficult,
وَاسْتِقْلَالِ الْخَیْرِ وَإِنْ كَثُـرَ مِنْ قَوْلِي وَفِعْلِي، وَاسْتِكْثَارِ الشَّـرِّ وَإِنْ قَلَّ مِنْ قَوْلِي وَفِعْلِي
and considering the good I say and do as little, even if it is much, and considering the evil I say and do as much, even if it is little.
وَأَكْمِلْ ذَلِكَ لِي بِدَوَامِ الطَّاعَةِ، وَلُزُومِ الْجَمَاعَةِ، وَرَفْضِ أَهْلِ الْبِدَعِ، وَمُسْتَعْمِلِ الرَّاْيِ الْمُخْتَـرَعِ
And perfect all that for me through continuous obedience, and adherence to the community, and rejection of the people of innovation, and those who follow invented opinions.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ
O Allah, send Your blessings upon Muhammad and his family,
وَاجْعَلْ أَوْسَعَ رِزْقِكَ عَلَیَّ إِذَا كَبِـرْتُ
and make the widest portion of Your sustenance reach me when I grow old,
وَأَقْوَى قُوَّتِكَ فِيَّ إِذَا نَصِبْتُ
and the greatest strength of Yours within me when I grow weary.
وَلَا تَبْتَلِيَنِّي بِالْكَسَلِ عَنْ عِبَادَتِكَ
Do not test me with laziness in worshiping You,
وَلَا الْعَمَى عَنْ سَبِيلِكَ
nor with blindness from Your path,
وَلَا بِالتَّعَرُّضِ لِخِلَافِ مَحَبَّتِكَ
nor with confronting that which opposes Your love,
وَلَا مُجَامَعَةِ مَنْ تَفَرَّقَ عَنْكَ
nor with companionship of those who have turned away from You,
وَلَا مُفَارَقَةِ مَنِ اجْتَمَعَ إِلَيْكَ
nor with separation from those who have gathered toward You.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي أَصُولُ بِكَ عِنْدَ الضَّـرُورَةِ
O Allah, make me such that in times of need I seek refuge in You,
وَأَسْأَلُكَ عِنْدَ الْحَاجَةِ
and ask You at times of need,
وَأَتَضَـرَّعُ إِلَيْكَ عِنْدَ الْمَسْكَنَةِ
and humble myself before You in times of poverty.
وَلَا تَفْتِنِّي بِالِاسْتِعَانَةِ بِغَیْرِكَ إِذَا اضْطُرِرْتُ
And do not afflict me with seeking help from other than You when I am in distress,
وَلَا بِالْخُضُوعِ لِسُؤَالِ غَیْرِكَ إِذَا افْتَقَرْتُ
nor with submitting to ask other than You when I am needy,
وَلَا بِالتَّضَـرُّعِ إِلَی مَنْ دُونَكَ إِذَا رَهِبْتُ
nor with pleading before anyone but You when I am afraid,
فَأَسْتَحِقَّ بِذَلِكَ خِذْلَانَكَ وَمَنْعَكَ وَإِعْرَاضَكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِینَ
lest I become deserving of Your abandonment, withholding, and turning away from me, O Most Merciful of the merciful.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْ مَا يُلْقِي الشَّيْطَانُ فِي رَوْعِي مِنَ التَّمَنِّي وَالتَّظَنِّي وَالْحَسَدِ، ذِكْراً لِعَظَمَتِكَ، وَتَفَكُّراً فِي قُدْرَتِكَ، وَتَدْبِیراً عَلَی عَدُوِّكَ
O Allah, transform whatever Satan casts into my heart of vain hopes, assumptions, and envy, into a remembrance of Your greatness, a contemplation of Your infinite power, and a strategy against Your enemy.
وَمَا أَجْرَى عَلَی لِسَانِي مِنْ لَفْظَةِ فُحْشٍ أَوْ هُجْرٍ أَوْ شَتْمِ عِرْضٍ أَوْ شَهَادَةِ بَاطِلٍ
And whatever words of obscenity flow from my tongue, or indecency, or insulting someone’s honor, or false testimony,
أَوِ اغْتِيَابِ مُؤْمِنٍ غَائِبٍ، أَوْ سَبِّ حَاضِـرٍ وَمَا أَشْبَهَ ذَلِكَ
or backbiting an absent believer, or reviling someone present — and whatever is like that —
نُطْقاً بِالْحَمْدِ لَكَ، وَإِغْرَاقاً فِي الثَّنَاءِ عَلَيْكَ
turn it into speech in praise of You, and immersion in extolling You,
وَذَهَاباً فِي تَـمْجِيدِكَ، وَشُكْراً لِنِعْمَتِكَ، وَاعْتِـرَافاً بِإِحْسَانِكَ، وإِحْصَاءً لِمِنَنِكَ
and elevation in glorifying You, and gratitude for Your blessings, and acknowledgment of Your kindness, and an accounting of Your favors.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ
O Allah, send Your blessings upon Muhammad and his family,
وَلَا أُظْلَمَنَّ وَأَنْتَ مُطِيقٌ لِلدَّفْعِ عَنِّي
and let me not be wronged while You have the power to defend me,
وَلَا أَظْلِمَنَّ وَأَنْتَ الْقَادِرُ عَلَی الْقَبْضِ مِنِّي
and let me not commit injustice while You are able to restrain me from,
وَلَا أَضِلَّنَّ وَقَدْ أَمْكَنَتْكَ هِدَايَتِي
and let me not go astray while You are capable of guiding me,
وَلَا أَفْتَقِرَنَّ وَمِنْ عِنْدِكَ وُسْعِي
and let me not fall into poverty while my provision is from You,
وَلَا أَطْغَیَنَّ وَمِنْ عِنْدِكَ وُجْدِي
and let me not transgress while my capability and strength are from You.
اَللّٰهُمَّ إِلَی مَغْفِرَتِكَ وَفَدْتُ
O Allah, to Your forgiveness have I come,
وَإِلَی عَفْوِكَ قَصَدْتُ
and toward Your pardon have I directed myself,
وَإِلَی تَجَاوُزِكَ اشْتَقْتُ
and for Your forbearance have I longed,
وَبِفَضْلِكَ وَثِقْتُ
and in Your grace have I placed my trust.
وَلَيْسَ عِنْدِي مَا يُوجِبُ لِي مَغْفِرَتَكَ وَلَا فِي عَمَلِي مَا أَسْتَحِقُّ بِهِ عَفْوَكَ
Yet I possess nothing that would make me worthy of Your forgiveness,nor in my deeds anything by which I might deserve Your pardon.
وَمَا لِي بَعْدَ أَنْ حَكَمْتُ عَلَی نَفْسِي إِلَّا فَضْلُكَ
And once I have judged myself, I find nothing for me but Your grace.
فَصَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ، وَتَفَضَّلْ عَلَيَّ
So send Your blessings upon Muhammad and his family, and bestow Your favor upon me.
اَللّٰهُمَّ وَأَنْطِقْنِي بِالْهُدَى، وَأَلْهِمْنِي التَّقْوَى
O Allah, let my speech be guided by right guidance, and inspire me with piety,
وَوَفِّقْنِي لِلَّتِي هِيَ أَزْكَی
and grant me success toward what is purest,
وَاسْتَعْمِلْنِي بِـمَا هُوَ أَرْضَی
and employ me in that which is most pleasing to You.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اسْلُكْ[2] بِيَ الطَّرِيقَةَ الْمُثْلَی، وَاجْعَلْنِي عَلَی مِلَّتِكَ أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا
O Allah, set me upon the best and most excellent path, and make me live and die upon Your religion.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ
O Allah, send Your blessings upon Muhammad and his family,
وَمَتِّعْنِي بِالِاقْتِصَادِ
and grant me the enjoyment of moderation,
وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنْ أَهْلِ السَّدَادِ، وَمِنْ أَدِلَّةِ الرَّشَادِ، وَمِنْ صَالِحِي الْعِبَادِ
and make me of the people of soundness, and among the guides to right guidance, and among Your righteous servants.
وَارْزُقْنِي فَوْزَ الْمَعَادِ وَسلَامَةَ الْمِرْصَادِ
And grant me triumph in the hereafter, and safety at the place of judgment.
اَللّٰهُمَّ خُذْ لِنَفْسِكَ مِنْ نَفْسِي مَا يُخَلِّصُهَا
O Allah, take from my soul for Yourself that which will purify it,
وَأَبْقِ لِنَفْسِي مِنْ نَفْسِي مَا يُصْلِحُهَا، فَإِنَّ نَفْسِي هَالِكَةٌ أَوْ تَعْصِمَهَا
and preserve for my soul that which will set it right, for truly my soul is doomed unless You protect it.
اَللّٰهُمَّ أَنْتَ عُدَّتِي إِنْ حَزِنْتُ، وَأَنْتَ مُنْتَجَعِي إِنْ حُرِمْتُ، وَبِكَ اسْتِغَاثَتِي إِنْ كَرِثْتُ
O Allah, You are my provision when I am grieved, and You are my refuge when I am deprived, and in You is my cry for help when I suffer.
وَعِنْدَكَ مِمَّا فَاتَ خَلَفٌ، وَلِمَا فَسَدَ صَلَاحٌ، وَفِيمَا أَنْكَرْتَ تَغْيِیرٌ
With You there is compensation for what is lost, and for what is ruined, there is restoration, and for what You reject, there is transformation.
فَامْنُنْ عَلَيَّ قَبْلَ الْبَلَاءِ بِالْعَافِيَةِ، وَقَبْلَ الطَّلَبِ بِالْجِدَةِ وَقَبْلَ الضَّلَالِ بِالرَّشَادِ
So grant me, before affliction, well-being as a favor from You, and before needing to ask, sufficiency, and before going astray, true guidance.
وَاكْفِنِي مَؤُونَةَ مَعَرَّةِ الْعِبَادِ، وَهَبْ لِي أَمْنَ يَوْمِ الْمَعَادِ، وَامْنَحْنِي حُسْنَ الْإِرْشَادِ
Spare me the burden of disgrace before Your servants, and grant me security on the Day of Return, and bestow upon me the beauty of right guidance.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ، وَادْرَأْ عَنِّي بِلُطْفِكَ
O Allah, send Your blessings upon Muhammad and his family, and shield me with Your gentleness,
وَاغْذُنِي بِنِعْمَتِكَ، وَأَصْلِحْنِي بِكَرَمِكَ، وَدَاوِنِي بِصُنْعِكَ
and nourish me with Your bounty, and set me right through Your generosity,and heal me through Your craftsmanship.
وَأَظِلَّنِي فِي ذَرَاكَ، وَجَلِّلْنِي رِضَاكَ
Shelter me in Your protection, and envelop me in Your satisfaction.
وَوَفِّقْنِي إِذَا اشْتَكَلَتْ عَلَيَّ الْأُمُورُ لِأَهْدَاهَا
And grant me success in choosing the most rightly guided way when matters become confusing for me,
وَإِذَا تَشَابَهَتِ الْأَعْمَالُ لِأَزْكَاهَا
and the purest of deeds when they appear alike,
وَإِذَا تَنَاقَضَتِ الْمِلَلُ لِأَرْضَاهَا
and when conflicting opinions and beliefs arise, guide me to the most pleasing of them.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ، وَتَوِّجْنِي بِالْكِفَايَةِ
O Allah, send Your blessings upon Muhammad and his family, and crown me with sufficiency,
وَسُمْنِي حُسْنَ الْوِلَايَةِ، وَهَبْ لِي صِدْقَ الْهِدَايَةِ
and make me worthy through Your perfect guardianship, and grant me true guidance.
وَلَا تَفْتِنِّي بِالسَّعَةِ، وَامْنَحْنِي حُسْنَ الدَّعَةِ
Do not test me with abundance, but bless me with gentle ease.
وَلَا تَجْعَلْ عَيْشِي كَدّاً كَدّاً
Do not make my life toilsome and burdened,
وَلَا تَرُدَّ دُعَائِي عَلَيَّ رَدّاً فَإِنِّي لَا أَجْعَلُ لَكَ ضِدّاً وَلَا أَدْعُو مَعَكَ نِدّاً
and do not turn my supplication back upon me unanswered, for I assign You no rival, nor do I call upon any equal besides You.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ، وَامْنَعْنِي مِنَ السَّـرَفِ
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family, and prevent me from extravagance.
وَحَصِّنْ رِزْقِي مِنَ التَّلَفِ وَوَفِّرْ مَلَكَتِي بِالْبَـرَكَةِ فِيهِ
And safeguard my sustenance from ruin, and bless my possessions with abundance.
وَأَصِبْ بِي سَبِيلَ الْهِدَايَةِ لِلْبِـرِّ فِيمَا أُنْفِقُ مِنْهُ
And direct me, through what I spend from my possessions, to the path of guidance and righteousness.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ، وَاكْفِنِي مَؤُونَةَ الِاكْتِسَابِ
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family, and spare me the burden of earning.
وَارْزُقْنِي مِنْ غَیْرِ احْتِسَابٍ، فَلَا أَشْتَغِلَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِكَ بِالطَّلَبِ، وَلَا أَحْتَمِلَ إِصْـرَ تَبِعَاتِ الْمَكْسَبِ
And provide for me without reckoning, so that I may not be distracted from Your worship by striving for provision, nor bear the heavy burden of the consequences of earning.
اَللّٰهُمَّ فَأَطْلِبْنِي بِقُدْرَتِكَ مَا أَطْلُبُ، وَأَجِرْنِي بِعِزَّتِكَ مِمَّا أَرْهَبُ
O Allah, enable me through Your power to attain what I seek, and by Your might, protect me from what I fear.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ، وَصُنْ وَجْهِي بِالْيَسَارِ
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family, and preserve my honor through prosperity and self-sufficiency.
وَلَا تَبْتَذِلْ جَاهِي بِالْإِقْتَارِ، فَأَسْتَـرْزِقَ أَهْلَ رِزْقِكَ، وَأَسْتَعْطِيَ شِـرَارَ خَلْقِكَ
And do not disgrace my standing through poverty, so that I resort to seeking provision from those You have provided for, and ask favors from the worst of Your creation,
فَأَفْتَتـِنَ بِحَمْدِ مَنْ أَعْطَانِي، وَأَبْتَلِيَ بِذَمِّ مَنْ مَنَعَنِي، وَأَنْتَ مِنْ دُونِهِمْ وَلِيُّ الْإِعْطَاءِ وَالْمَنْعِ
then become tempted by praising the one who gives me, and afflicted by blaming the one who withholds from me, while You alone, apart from them, are the Master of giving and withholding.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ، وَارْزُقْنِي صِحَّةً فِي عِبَادَةٍ، وَفَرَاغاً فِي زَهَادَةٍ، وَعِلْماً فِي اسْتِعْمَالٍ، وَوَرَعاً فِي إِجْمَالٍ
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family, and grant me health in worship, and leisure for asceticism, and knowledge that is put into practice,and piety with moderation
اَللّٰهُمَّ اخْتِمْ بِعَفْوِكَ أَجَلِي، وَحَقِّقْ فِي رَجَاءِ رَحْمَتِكَ أَمَلِي
O Allah, seal my life’s end with Your pardon, and let my hope in Your mercy be realized,
وَسَهِّلْ إِلَى بُلُوغِ رِضَاكَ سُبُلِي، وَحَسِّنْ فِي جَمِيعِ أَحْوَالِي عَمَلِي
and make the paths to attaining Your pleasure easy for me, and improve my actions in all my circumstances.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ، وَنَبِّهْنِي لِذِكْرِكَ فِي أَوْقَاتِ الْغَفْلَةِ
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family, and awaken me to Your remembrance during moments of heedlessness,
وَاسْتَعْمِلْنِي بِطَاعَتِكَ فِي أَيَّامِ الْمُهْلَةِ
and employ me in Your obedience during the time of respite,
وَانْهَجْ لِي إِلَی مَحَبَّتِكَ سَبِيلًا سَهْلَةً، أَكْمِلْ لِي بِهَا خَیْرَ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ
and open for me an easy path toward Your love, by which You perfect for me the goodness of this world and the Hereafter.
اَللّٰهُمَّ وَصَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ كَأَفْضَلِ مَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَی أَحَدٍ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ قَبْلَهُ وَأَنْتَ مُصَلٍّ عَلَی أَحَدٍ بَعْدَەُ
O Allah, and send blessings upon Muhammad and his family as the best of blessings You have ever sent upon any of Your creation before him, and as You shall ever send blessings upon any after him.
وَ«آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً» وَقِنِي بِرَحْمَتِكَ «عَذَابَ النَّارِ»
And “Grant us good in this world, and good in the Hereafter,” and by Your mercy, protect me from the torment of the Fire.
